Week 3 & 4 Term 2

  K AY A  parents, We hope you are having a wonderful weekend, how can you not with this perfect weather! Here is an update for the next two weeks, there are a couple of key dates that you need to put into your calendar so keep an eye for those! Key Learning in 3C MATHS Measurement: This week we will be beginning our exploration of 2D and 3D shapes through lots of hand-on activities. We will be exploring the names of different shapes and its features. At the end of the week, we will participate in an investigation to demonstrate our knowledge and understanding of shapes!  Number: Next week we will begin our studies of subtraction. Last term we spent a lot of time exploring and practicing different mental and written strategies for addition. It's now time to do the same for subtraction. We will begin out studies by exploring the relationship between addition and subtraction and how we can use similar mental strategies to help solve subtraction problems. ENGLISH Writing: We are well

  K AY A  parents, I hope you had a wonderful holidays and a Happy Easter. We cannot wait to hear about all of the children's adventures of camping, travels and fun in the sun🌞😎 I had a great break that was full of Perth adventures, eating yummy food and spending time with family and friends! Just a few pieces of information for the start of the term... Key Learning in 3C MATHS Measurement: In the first two weeks of this term we will be continuing our exploration of measurement. Last term we investigated the different formal units we can use to measure the length of items. This term we will begin to explore how we can use our knowledge of length to measure the perimeter and area of different shapes. We will also explore how we can use formal units to measure the mass and capacity of items.
